Cornish Lighthouse Lampshade collaboration with Hermione Rose
An exciting collaboration with my sister Hermione Rose Illustration using her drawings to create this freehand machine embroidered lighthouse lampshade. A neutral colour felt background using the colour threads of your choice to stitch the Cornish design.
I draw using my sewing machine, this is a freehand machine embroidered piece, although I work from a template design at the beginning each piece is individually created and unique.
Please add in a message to me if you would like a table or a ceiling shade. If no preference is made it will automatically be made as a table shade.
Each lampshade has my unique machine embroidered signature and on the design.

I’ve followed Melody on social media since I discovered her wonderful lampshades in Baxters Gallery, Dartmouth in 2013.
I’m lucky to already own a couple of sailboat lampshades and when me and my husband decided to change the bedside lampshades in our bedroom, I knew just where to come! We chose the Cornish Lighthouse design which we love because of the detail and also because it is a gorgeous collaboration between Melody and Hermione.
I contacted Melody regarding the thread colours so we could make the right choice for our bedroom. Melody was so helpful and sent out samples of both the thread colours we’d asked for but also the felt and cotton backing which made making the final decision really easy.
One straightforward order later and we have two beautiful new lampshades that we are over the moon with - thank you!
The quality is really wonderful and the skill of Melody’s sewing is astounding, so much intricate detail!!

I am so pleased with this lampshade, we got the 15 cm diameter of Cornish lighthouses in pale blue. It goes so well in my beach themed hallway. The workmanship is amazing, and it came within a few days, beautifully packaged. Thank you very much Melody. I’d love to upload a photo but I’m not sure how! I am now considering buying two more for my kitchen and one for my living room- I can see this being an expensive process!
